Beer Baseball combines the classic fun of baseball with drinking rules for a lively party game. It’s perfect for groups who want to mix competition and drinks. Here’s how to set it up and play:

What You Need:

1. A table or flat surface
2. Plastic cups (4 for each team, plus 1 extra for the middle)
3. A ping pong ball
4. Beer or your beverage of choice

Setup:

1. Split players into two teams.
2. Arrange 4 cups in a straight line at each “base” (first, second, third, and home) on opposite sides of the table. Fill the cups with beer.
3. Place an extra cup in the middle of the table (the “pitcher’s cup”) with some beer in it.

How to Play:

1. The Pitch:
   • A player from Team 1 (the “pitcher”) throws the ping pong ball across the table, aiming to land it into a cup on Team 2’s side.
   • If it lands in a cup, the batter drinks the beer from that cup and advances to first base. If the ball misses, it’s a strike.
2. Batting:
   • The batter has 3 attempts (strikes) to hit the “ball” (ping pong ball) into any of the cups on the opposing team’s side.
   • A successful hit advances the batter to the next base, depending on the rules set (e.g., landing in a cup at first base advances the batter there).
3. Running the Bases:
   • Each “base” has a corresponding cup. When a player reaches a base, they stop and wait until the next teammate hits them further along the bases.
   • A run is scored when a player completes the bases and returns to home plate.
4. Outs and Defense:
   • The opposing team (defense) can catch the ping pong ball if it bounces off the table to get the batter out.
   • A team switches to defense after 3 outs.
5. Special Rules:
   • If the ball lands in the “pitcher’s cup,” all players on the opposing team must drink their cups, and the batting team gets an automatic run.

Winning:

• The team with the most runs after an agreed number of innings wins the game.
