Chandelier is a party game involving cups, drinks, and a ping pong ball. Players sit around a table, with each person having their own cup of drink, and a larger center cup (the “chandelier”). Players take turns bouncing a ping pong ball, aiming for the cups. If the ball lands in a player’s cup, that person drinks and refills their cup. If it lands in the center chandelier cup, everyone drinks. The game continues with drinking penalties and social interactions, making it a fun and lively activity!

Here’s how you play:

What You Need:

1. Cups:
   • One cup for each player, plus an extra cup for the “chandelier” (the center cup).
   • The player cups are smaller, while the center cup is usually larger.
2. Ping Pong Ball:
   • One ping pong ball.
3. Drinks:
   • Each player fills their cup with a drink (beer or another beverage).

Setup:

1. Arranging the Cups:
   • Each player places their cup in a circle on the table.
   • The center cup (the chandelier) is placed in the middle of the circle.
   • Fill the center cup with more drink than the individual cups (it’s typically the “penalty” cup).
2. Seating:
   • Players sit around the table with their cups in front of them.

How to Play:

1. Start of the Game:
   • One player starts by attempting to bounce the ping pong ball into any cup (including the center chandelier cup).
2. Bouncing the Ball:
   • Players take turns trying to bounce the ping pong ball into any of the cups. It must bounce once on the table before landing in a cup.

Rules:

1. Ball in a Player’s Cup:
   • If the ping pong ball lands in a player’s cup, that player must drink the contents of their cup.
   • After finishing their drink, they refill their cup with a drink and continue playing.
2. Ball in the Center (Chandelier) Cup:
   • If the ball lands in the center chandelier cup, everyone drinks.
   • The person who successfully bounced the ball into the center cup becomes the “King” or “Queen” for the round. This player can then either:
     • Assign Drinks: Tell others to drink.
     • Start a Chug-Off: All players must drink their cups as fast as possible. The last person to finish must drink the center cup (chandelier cup) as a penalty.
3. Elimination Option (Optional):
   • Some versions of the game play with elimination rules, where a player is out of the game if they fail to drink in time or lose multiple rounds. The last player standing wins.

Winning the Game:

• The game continues until players decide to stop, or the last person left wins in elimination-style gameplay.

Extra Variations:

• Speed Play: For a quicker pace, reduce the time players have to drink when the ball lands in their cup.
• Challenge Rules: Add extra rules, like “last player to touch their nose drinks” or “players can call out other players for a challenge.”
