Free Tipsy Tonight Online Drinking Game: Play Now!
Give and Take is a drinking game that is similar to truth or dare but uses cards to randomize play. It is a great variation on the traditional truth or dare game to shake things up a bit.
To start, each player gets dealt 4 cards face-up in front of them. Then, 12 cards are arranged face-down in two rows of 6 in the middle of the table. One row should be designated as “truth” while the other row is “dare”.
The first player chooses a card to flip over from either the truth or dare row. If any of the players have a matching card, they must answer the truth or do the dare, depending on which card is flipped. If anyone does not want to do the truth or dare, they must drink. The player that flips the card is able to determine the truth or dare.

Give and Take Rules
- Sit in a circle and deal 4 cards face-up to each player.
- Deal 12 cards face-down in 2 rows of six in the middle of the table.
- Designate one row as truth and the other row as dare.
- The first player chooses a card to flip over from either the truth or dare row.
- If any of the players have a matching card in front of them, they must answer the truth or do the dare that the person who flipped the card makes up. If they refuse, they must drink.
- If no one has a matching card, everyone must take a drink. Or, alternatively, only the person flipping the card has to drink.
- Play continues to the next person to flip another card and determine the truth or dare.
Give and Take Variations
There are a few variations and options that you can use to make Give and Take a more interesting game.
- During setup of the two rows of six cards, number them from 1 to 6. When a card is flipped and a player chooses to drink, they have to take that many drinks. For example, if they flip the third card, they would have to drink three times.
- If a player has doubles of the card that is flipped, they can choose someone else to either drink or take the truth or dare.
- If anyone gets dealt an Ace, they can make up a drinking rule for the game. It can then be discarded and replaced with another card.
- If an Ace is flipped, the player with the most cards from the same suit makes a drinking rule.
- If you want to make it even more interesting, you can play so that only the number has to match. Even if it is not an exact suit match, any number match would need to drink or play.
