Two Truths and a Lie Drinking Game

Two Truths and a Lie is a classic drinking game that is simple to play anywhere. It is better to play with friends that know a little about you but it can also be a great icebreaker.

To play the game, each player says three things about them. Two of those stories should be true and while the third one is a lie, but tell them in a random order. Everyone gets a chance to guess which one is the lie and, if they are wrong, they have to drink.

Two Truths and a Lie Rules

• The first player says three things about themselves. This can be a story, fact, or an experience that they had. The key is to tell two things that are true while the third is a lie. Make sure to randomly order the lie so that it is harder to guess.
• Tip: You can get creative with your statements to make sure they are all believable and the lie doesn’t stick out. in this game, the goal is to be the best liar and be convincing!
• The player to their left gets the first chance of guessing which was the lie. If they get it wrong, they drink and the next person guesses.
• An alternative option is to have the entire group drink if no one guesses the lie correctly.
• Once the players correctly guess the lie, the player can explain any background they wish and then play moves to the next person to tell their three statements.
